*V-stitch Cluster: Yo insert hook, yo over pull through, yo pull through two loops on hook, yo insert hook in same st., yo over pull through, yo pull through two loops, yo pull through remaining three loops. (cluster st) Ch. 1 and repeat cluster stitch in the same st.  You should have cluster, ch.1, cluster in the same st.

Ch.9

Row 1: Starting in 4^th chain from the hook, v-st cl, skip 2 sts, v-st cl, skip 1^st, Dc in last st

Row 2: Ch. 3 (counts as 1^st st), turn, skip 2 sts, v-st cl in ch. 1 space, skip 2sts, v-st cl in ch. 1 space, skip st, Dc in chain 3 space.

*Repeat Row 2 until you get the desired length. Slip st or sew together each end together. Fasten off and weave in ends.

*Headband size is approximately 1.75in wide. To get desired length measure around the head and subtract 1"

Magic Ring, Ch.1

Round 1: 10 Hdc in ring, sl st to 1 Hdc

Round 2: (Ch. 2, skip st, sl st in next Hdc)5 times, sl st in 1st ch. space (5 chain spaces)

Round 3: (ch. 1, 3 Dc, ch. 1, sl st, Slip st in next ch. space, ) 5 times (5 petals)

Round 4: [Ch. 3. Sc around the sl st from round 2 (you can see this by looking at the back of the flower)] 5 times (5 chain spaces)

Round 5: (Slip st in next ch. space, ch.1, 5 Dc, ch.1, sl st) 5 times (5 petals)

Round 6: [Ch. 4. Sc around the sl st from round 4 (you can see this by looking at the back of the flower)] 5 times (5 chain spaces)

Round 7: (Slip st in next ch. space, ch.1, 7 Dc, ch.1, sl st) 5 times (5 petals)

Fasten off, leaving enough tail for attaching to headband.

*Flower is approximately 3.5 in. in size. If you want a smaller flower you can either omit rounds 6 & 7 or you can use a smaller hook size.
