Kiwi Coaster

This cute little pattern is inspired by Repeat Crafter Me's Fruit Coasters. If you haven't checked out her site you are missing out! She has tons of cute FREE patterns. Anyways, I thought I would come up with a kiwi pattern to go with the strawberry. It is super easy and I love how they go together!

Kiwi Pattern:

Materials:
Worsted Weight Yarn
5 mm crochet hook (H)
Tapestry Needle

Notes: I used cotton yarn in cream, green, and tan. The black seeds are in acrylic.

Starting with cream yarn
Round 1: Magic Ring, Ch. 2, 12 Dc in ring, join to 1st Dc, tighten ring
Change to green yarn
Round 2: Ch. 2, 2 Dc in each st around, join
Round 3: Ch.2, (2 dc in first st, 1 dc in next) Repeat around, join
Change to tan yarn
Round 4: Ch.1, Sc in each st around, join
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Using black yarn embroider/stitch around in between first and second row to create the seeds.  Kind of like a whip stitch. If you are unsure use the picture as a guide.

I hope you enjoy the pattern!
