Little Cupcake Hat Update

I decided to give Repeat Crafter Me's cupcake hat pattern another try. I found this sport weight tweed yarn on clearance that I thought would work. I used two strands held together for the icing part of the hat; then switched to one strand of worsted for the bottom of the hat. I crocheted the shells in both loops and joined the tan yarn to row 9, just like she stated. It does allow the shells to lay down better. Not only did the size of the hat turn out perfectly, but the colors too! Since the pattern is only for newborns, I hope to try to make bigger sizes.
